BASIC TRAINING
Basic Training is for those horses who are untouched, un-started under saddle, green broke, rescue horses needing restarted, horses who have been siting in the pasture for some time and more. Basic Training with Painted Lady Horsemanship focuses on patience, understanding, building confidence and treating each horse like the individual they are and tailoring the training based on that. The purpose of basic training is to set the horse up for success and teach them the proper fundamentals they will build on for years to come. When you send your horse to Painted Lady Horsemanship you can be sure they will not be rushed or pushed past their limits, they will be treated like family and taught with an empathetic heart. Here at Painted Lady Horsemanship we want to build the horse up to be secure and confident in themselves! Colt Starting horses must participate in a minimum of 60 days basic training
Basic Training is in all inclusive full board and training package, which includes:
-10x12 matted stall
-Quality grass hay 2x daily
-Tribute Kalm N ez 2x daily
-Stalls cleaned and bedded daily
-Private turnout
-Access to indoor and outdoor arenas
-Access to trails
-5 days guaranteed training time
-2 client lessons per 30 days
PERFORMANCE TRAINING
Performance Training is available to those clients looking for barrel racing training, whether just starting their horses out on the pattern, fixing problems on the pattern, fine tuning, seasoning and so on. With years of experience competing in the world of barrel racing owner & trainer Devin Young has worked with many barrel horses and has started and competed on some of her own successfully. Not only has Devin personally competed and trained, but she has invested thousands of dollars in clinics, lessons, materials and more to learn the ins and outs as much as possible. Devin has a knack for slow & correct work on the pattern, getting horses positioning correctly and perfecting their form through the pattern while also teaching the horse confidence. Painted Lady Horsemanship has a whole ‘bag of tricks’ from learning, riding, and training over the years to help solve those problems on the pattern or in the alley before they become nasty. Rest assured your horse will be taught properly, correctly and with horsemanship still in mind when crossing over into the performance world.

OFF-SITE TRAINING
Painted Lady Horsemanship offers One-on-One training sessions where owner/trainer, Devin Young, travels directly to you in the comfort of your own barn for your convenience. Painted Lady Horsemanship wants to help horse & human thrive by assessing their current training level and creating a personalized plan to help them achieve their goal(s). Training sessions will be geared towards teaching the rider as well as the horse to maximize their success in-between sessions. This service is offered for a variety of training purposes specializing in, but not limited to:
Problem Solving
Refreshers
Tuning Up
Barrel Training
Confidence Building
HORSE & RIDER LESSON
Horse & Rider Lessons are geared towards riders who own (or lease) their horse who are wanting to take those next steps to advance their skills and partnership with their mount. This service is also great for those who are in need of building confidence and would benefit from riding under the watchful eye of a professional. Not only will the rider benefit, but the goal is to help the horse gain confidence and become a more willing and enjoyable partner so there can be continued success. Though this service is more for the rider it can also help the horse if they have behavioral problems under saddle or there are some kinks in the training. Horse & Rider Lessons are open to the majority of cases and disciplines including :
Green Broke horses
Rescue Horses
Barrel Racing
Beginner- Advanced level riders (western & English)
VIDEO REVIEW
Live faraway? Short on time? Tight budget? Let Painted Lady Horsemanship help you with your training despite all that. Send in a video of your ride, training session, barrel race, a specific issue or behavioral problem, etc.. and owner/ trainer, Devin Young, will view the video provided and come up with a plan of action to get you and your horse back on track and having fun again. Your video will be reviewed not only by a professional with 20+ years of experience, but will also be assessed more thoroughly using the latest application technology. An annotated video with a write up and action plan will be sent back to you within a week of your 10 minute maximum video being received. All videos can be sent to PaintedLadyRanch@gmail.com

COMMISSION & CONSIGNMENT
Painted Lady Horsemanship believes in helping horse & human thrive, and in some cases that means finding a better match for horse AND rider. PLH offers commission and consignment services for both parties; selling and purchasing. PLH takes match making very seriously and will not sell a horse to just anyone and likewise will not put a seal of approval on a horse being sold or bought without a complete assessment of both horse and rider. Horses being sold under consignment must complete 30 days training.
